From the simple honest flavour of a basic curry to one-dish meals like the national dish mohingar, each recipe has been carefully refined and tested so that everyone can enjoy the taste of Myanmar in their own homes.
The Burmese cookbook, coming soon! Take a look at some of the recipes.
Burmese ingredients
Similar to Thai cooking, fish sauce and shrimp paste are essential ingredients. Spices like coriander, turmeric and cumin gently flavour the Indian inspired curries while soy sauce, garlic and ginger reveal the Chinese influence.
How-to video: Making Baya Kyaw
Here it is; my first ever video clip for the How-to Video section. We had great fun making it and I do hope it will entice you to try the Baya Kyaw recipe.
Burmese New Year
Date: 13-16 April 2008
This year I am away from home organising the production of the cookbook. I promise I will email those of you who have joined the mailing list with a release date soon. It is taking some time as I am new to it all but I can say it will be worth the wait. The initial proofs of the book look fantastic and I am very pleased with the progress.
A quick rice recipe
Date: 10 January 2008

Cookbook release
Date: 30 November 2007
Thank you to everyone who emailed to enquire about the cookbook. I do not have an exact date for when it will be published and available for purchase yet. I am pushing for the beginning of next year. Please email me if you would like to be on our mailing list to be notified when it is out. Thank you for your patience.
